α-Amylase-L (Single Liquid) is a ready-to-use reagent for the quantitative estimation of α-amylase in serum or plasma, by a kinetic method using the blocked chromogenic substrate GAL-G2-CNP. α-Amylase releases 2-chloro-4-nitrophenol (CNP), measured at 405 nm in proportion to its activity. Manufactured at Reckon’s Vadodara facility under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, and released against reference standards before dispatch.

Procedure at a glance4 steps
- Add 0.05 ml of sample to 1.0 ml of reagent and mix immediately.
- Read the absorbance at 405 nm at exactly 60 seconds, then 3 more times at 30-second intervals, at 37 °C.
- Work out the mean change in absorbance per minute (ΔA/min).
- Amylase (IU/L) = ΔA/min × 1628.
