Calcium (Arsenazo) is a reagent kit for the quantitative estimation of calcium (Ca++) in serum and plasma. It uses the metallochromogen Arsenazo III, which binds calcium at pH 6.75 to form a coloured complex read at 630 nm. Manufactured at Reckon’s Vadodara facility under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, and released against reference standards before dispatch.

Procedure at a glance5 steps
- Pipette 1.0 ml of reagent into the blank, standard and test tubes.
- Add 0.01 ml of standard to the standard tube and 0.01 ml of sample to the test tube.
- Mix and incubate for 5 minutes at room temperature (25 to 30 °C).
- Read the standard and the sample against the reagent blank at 630 nm.
- Calcium (mg/dl) = absorbance of test ÷ absorbance of standard × 10.
