Product details.
CK-NAC is a reagent kit for the quantitative estimation of creatine kinase in serum, by the IFCC method activated with N-acetylcysteine. Creatine kinase forms ATP from creatine phosphate and ADP; hexokinase and G6PDH couple this to NADPH, and the rise in absorbance at 340 nm is proportional to creatine kinase activity. Manufactured at Reckon’s Vadodara facility under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, and released against reference standards before dispatch.

Procedure at a glance5 steps
- Dissolve 1 vial of 1 CK-NAC in its buffer (1.1 ml, 3 ml or 10 ml), mix, and wait 10 minutes.
- Add 0.05 ml of sample to 1.00 ml of working reagent and mix immediately.
- Read the absorbance at 340 nm at 120 seconds, then 3 more times at 30-second intervals.
- Work out the mean change in absorbance per minute (ΔA/min).
- CK (IU/L) = ΔA/min × 3376.
