Privacy notice

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and carries no tracking of any kind. The only personal data it handles is what you type into one of its three forms: the contact form on the home page, the enquiry list, and the careers form. This notice says exactly what happens to it.

Who we are

Reckon Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd. manufactures in vitro diagnostic reagents and rapid tests, and supplies analysers, at 3/7, B.I.D.C, Gorwa, Vadodara 390 016, Gujarat, India.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Reckon Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd. is the data fiduciary for the personal data described here, and you are the data principal.

This notice covers this website only. Once you become a customer, what we hold and why is governed by whatever we agree with you in writing, not by this page.

Questions about how we process your personal data go to Hetal Parmar, our Grievance Officer, at hr@reckondiagnostics.com.

What we collect

Nothing is collected automatically. There is no account, no login and no profile. We only receive what you type and then send.

FieldWhere fromWhy we ask
Name Both forms, required To address the reply
Organisation Both forms, optional To know whether we are answering a laboratory, a distributor or a private-label partner, which decides who replies
Email Both forms, required To reply
Phone List, optional To reply by phone or WhatsApp where that is faster than email
Country Both forms, optional Product availability and regulatory marking differ by market, so the answer depends on it
Subject Contact form To route the enquiry to the right person
Message, notes Both forms The enquiry itself. Please do not put anything sensitive here: it is free text and it travels as described in section 4
Your product list List Product names, stock codes, pack sizes and quantities, so we can quote against them

Both forms also carry a hidden field that real visitors never see or fill. It exists to catch automated submissions and it is discarded.

What we do not collect

Worth stating plainly, because most sites in this industry do all four:

  • No cookies. This site sets none at all. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
  • No analytics. No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no heatmap, no session recording.
  • No tracking. Nothing on this site follows you to any other site, and we build no profile of you.
  • No automatic logging by us. The company that hosts this website keeps ordinary server request logs, as every web host does. We do not add to them and we do not use them to identify anyone.

Where your enquiry goes

This is the part most privacy notices leave out, so it is set out in full.

Your list, sent by WhatsApp

WhatsApp's click-to-chat is the only interface it offers, and it accepts a message only as part of a web address. So when you press send, your enquiry reference, name, organisation, country, product list and notes travel inside a URL. A URL is not private:

  • it is written into your own browser history
  • it passes through WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta
  • either may retain it under their own terms, not ours

This is how the mechanism works rather than a fault in it, and the same warning appears on the form itself.

Sending a form

When you press send on the home page contact form, the enquiry list or the careers form, what you typed goes to this website's own server in the body of the request, not in the address, so it does not appear in any URL or in your browser history. The server emails it to us through our email delivery provider and may also record a copy in a spreadsheet Reckon owns, so an enquiry is not lost if an email is missed. If you gave an email address, you receive a confirmation of what you sent.

If the server cannot deliver it, the form says so plainly, sends nothing, and shows our email address and telephone number so you can reach us directly.

If you would rather not send personal data by any of these routes, telephone or email us directly using the details at the end of this notice.

Held on your own device

Your list is kept in your browser's local storage, under the name reckon.list. It holds the products you have added with their stock codes, pack sizes and quantities. It holds no personal data.

It never leaves your device until you press send, and we cannot read it. It is not a cookie: it is not attached to any request, and no other website can reach it.

It stays until you remove it. Emptying the list on the catalogue page clears it, and so does clearing site data in your browser.

Who else receives it

These parties, and only these:

  • Our email delivery provider. Carries the email that brings us your form, and the confirmation sent to you, as described in section 4.
  • Google, through the spreadsheet. If we keep the copy described in section 4, it is stored in a Google Sheet that Reckon owns.
  • Meta, through WhatsApp. Receives your enquiry message if you use the WhatsApp checkout, as described in section 4.
  • Google, through the map. The contact section embeds a Google map of our plant. When that map loads, Google receives your IP address and ordinary browser information. It loads only when you press Load map, so nothing goes to Google unless you choose to. It is Google's code inside a frame and Google's terms apply to it.
  • Our web host. Serves the pages and keeps ordinary server logs.

We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not pass it to anyone else for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

The DPDP Act requires personal data to be erased once the purpose it was given for is served, unless a law requires us to keep it longer.

Reckon to supply

The retention period for enquiry records, and any statutory period that overrides it: [[RECKON TO SUPPLY]]

Your rights

As a data principal under the DPDP Act you may:

  • ask what personal data of yours we hold, and what we have done with it
  • ask us to correct anything inaccurate, or complete anything incomplete
  • ask us to erase it, unless we are required by law to keep it
  • withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it. Withdrawing it does not undo anything already done lawfully before you withdrew
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become incapacitated

Write to the grievance officer below to use any of them. Two honest caveats. We may have to confirm you are who you say you are before we act. And if your enquiry went through WhatsApp, a copy sits with Meta and in your own message history, neither of which we can delete on your behalf.

How to complain

Raise it with us first. The DPDP Act requires a grievance officer and requires them to respond within a stated period.

Our Grievance Officer is Hetal Parmar, at hr@reckondiagnostics.com.

Reckon to supply

The period within which the grievance officer will respond: [[RECKON TO SUPPLY]]

If our answer does not satisfy you, you may take the complaint to the Data Protection Board of India.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, the date below changes with it. We will not quietly reduce your rights: any change that does so will be stated plainly on this page.
