Product details.
Albumin (BCG) is a reagent kit for the quantitative estimation of serum albumin. In an acidic medium albumin binds bromocresol green, and the blue-green colour formed, read at 630 nm, is proportional to the albumin present. Manufactured at Reckon’s Vadodara facility under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, and released against reference standards before dispatch.
The specifications and steps on this page are from the datasheet, last updated 04-2023. The datasheet governs: read it before use, or ask us.

Procedure at a glance5 steps
- Pipette 1.0 ml of reagent into the blank, standard and test tubes.
- Add 0.01 ml of standard to the standard tube and 0.01 ml of sample to the test tube.
- Mix and stand for 10 minutes at room temperature (not below 25 °C).
- Read the test and the standard against the reagent blank at 630 nm.
- Albumin (g/dl) = absorbance of test ÷ absorbance of standard × 5.
