Product details.

Albumin (BCG) is a reagent kit for the quantitative estimation of serum albumin. In an acidic medium albumin binds bromocresol green, and the blue-green colour formed, read at 630 nm, is proportional to the albumin present. Manufactured at Reckon’s Vadodara facility under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, and released against reference standards before dispatch.

The specifications and steps on this page are from the datasheet, last updated 04-2023. The datasheet governs: read it before use, or ask us.

Procedure at a glance5 steps
  1. Pipette 1.0 ml of reagent into the blank, standard and test tubes.
  2. Add 0.01 ml of standard to the standard tube and 0.01 ml of sample to the test tube.
  3. Mix and stand for 10 minutes at room temperature (not below 25 °C).
  4. Read the test and the standard against the reagent blank at 630 nm.
  5. Albumin (g/dl) = absorbance of test ÷ absorbance of standard × 5.
