Product details.

Creatinine (End Point) is a reagent kit for the quantitative estimation of creatinine in serum by the Jaffe method, with no deproteinisation. The colour from alkaline picrate is read before and after an acid reagent, which separates creatinine from reactive non-creatinine substances; the difference at 510 nm is proportional to creatinine. Manufactured at Reckon’s Vadodara facility under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, and released against reference standards before dispatch.

The specifications and steps on this page are from the datasheet, last updated 04-2023. The datasheet governs: read it before use, or ask us.

Linearity
Up to 12 mg/dl; dilute higher samples with 0.9% saline
Procedure at a glance5 steps
  1. Mix equal volumes of 1 Creatinine and 2 Creatinine as the day's working reagent.
  2. Add 0.2 ml of sample, or of standard, to 2.5 ml of working reagent and incubate for 15 minutes at 37 °C.
  3. Read the standard (STD1) and test (TS1) at 510 nm against distilled water.
  4. Add 0.1 ml of 3 Creatinine (acid reagent), mix, and keep for 5 minutes at 37 °C, or 10 minutes at room temperature; read again (STD2, TS2).
  5. Creatinine (mg/dl) = (TS1 − TS2) ÷ (STD1 − STD2) × 2.
