Product details.
Creatinine (Enzymatic) is a reagent for the in vitro quantitative detection of creatinine in human serum on automated clinical chemistry analyzers, developed to avoid the chromogen interference of the Jaffe method. Creatininase, creatinase and sarcosine oxidase release hydrogen peroxide, which with peroxidase forms a quinoneimine dye read at 546 nm in proportion to creatinine. Manufactured at Reckon’s Vadodara facility under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, and released against reference standards before dispatch.
The specifications and steps on this page are from the datasheet, last updated 04-2023. The datasheet governs: read it before use, or ask us.

Procedure at a glance4 steps
- Mix 3 µl of sample with 150 µl of R1 and incubate for 5 minutes at 37 °C; read absorbance A1.
- Add 50 µl of R2, mix, and incubate for another 5 minutes; read absorbance A2.
- Work out ΔA = A2 − A1 at 546 nm (700 nm secondary).
- Creatinine (mg/dl) = ΔA of sample ÷ ΔA of calibrator × calibrator concentration.
