The POCT Syphilis Card (WB) is a one-step immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of antibodies (IgA, IgM and IgG) to Treponema pallidum in human whole blood, serum or plasma, packed for point-of-care use with a dropper, lancet and alcohol pad for each test. Recombinant 17, 15 and 47 kDa antigens capture the antibodies in a double antigen format, with a goat anti-mouse IgG control line. Manufactured at Reckon’s Vadodara facility under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, and released against reference standards before dispatch.

Procedure at a glance5 steps

Bring the card and the sample to room temperature, and lay the card flat.
Whole blood: add 1 drop (about 25 µl), wait about 30 seconds for it to soak in, then add 2 to 3 drops (60 to 90 µl) of buffer.
Serum or plasma: add 2 to 3 drops of sample to the sample well, without overflowing.
Read within 20 minutes; strong positives may show within 5 minutes. Never read after 30 minutes.
C only is negative; C and T is positive for Treponema pallidum antibodies; no C line means the test is invalid.
