The HIV 1/2 Triline Card is a solid-phase immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of antibodies to HIV-1 and HIV-2 in human serum or plasma. Recombinant HIV-1 (gp120 + gp41) and HIV-2 (gp36) antigens sit on separate T1 and T2 lines, so the card tells HIV-1, HIV-2 and dual reactivity apart. Manufactured at Reckon’s Vadodara facility under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, and released against reference standards before dispatch.

Procedure at a glance5 steps

Bring the card, sample and buffer to room temperature, and lay the card flat.
Add 10 µl of serum or plasma to the sample well, with the dropper or a micropipette.
Add 2 drops (60 µl) of assay buffer to the sample well; add 1 more drop if needed.
Read at 15 to 20 minutes, not later.
C only is negative; C and T1 is HIV-1 positive; C and T2 is HIV-2 positive; C, T1 and T2 is positive for both. No C line means the test is invalid.
