The HCV Test Strip is a sandwich lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of antibodies (IgG, IgM and IgA) to hepatitis C virus in human serum or plasma, as a screening test and an aid in diagnosis. Recombinant HCV core, NS3, NS4 and NS5 antigens form the test line, and reactive samples must be confirmed by another method. Manufactured at Reckon’s Vadodara facility under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, and released against reference standards before dispatch.

Procedure at a glance5 steps
- Bring the strip, sample and buffer to room temperature (15 to 30 °C).
- Lay the strip on a clean, level surface.
- Add 1 drop (about 30 µl) of serum or plasma to the sample pad, then 2 drops (about 75 µl) of buffer straight away, without air bubbles.
- Read at 15 minutes; do not read after 20 minutes.
- C only is negative; C and T is positive for HCV antibody; no C line means the test is invalid.
