The HBsAg (Hepa Strip) is a one-step immunochromatographic sandwich assay in dip-strip format for the qualitative detection of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) in serum or plasma. A monoclonal antibody gold conjugate and monoclonal solid-phase antibodies bind HBsAg to form a pink-purple test line below the control line. Manufactured at Reckon’s Vadodara facility under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, and released against reference standards before dispatch.

Procedure at a glance5 steps

Bring the sample and the strip to room temperature.
Pipette about 200 µl of sample into the bottom of an 8 × 75 mm test tube, without wetting the walls.
Stand the strip in the tube, sample end down, up to the arrow mark, and leave it until the control line has fully formed.
Read at 10 to 20 minutes.
The control line alone is negative; test and control lines are positive for HBsAg; no control line means the test is invalid.
