The Syphilis Strip is a one-step immunochromatographic dip strip for the qualitative detection of antibodies (IgA, IgM and IgG) to Treponema pallidum in human serum or plasma. Recombinant 17, 15 and 47 kDa antigens capture the antibodies in a double antigen format, with a goat anti-mouse IgG control line. Manufactured at Reckon’s Vadodara facility under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, and released against reference standards before dispatch.

Procedure at a glance5 steps

Bring the sample and the strip to room temperature.
Pipette about 200 µl of sample into the bottom of an 8 × 75 mm test tube, without wetting the walls.
Stand the strip in the tube, sample end down, up to the arrow mark, and leave it until the control line has fully formed.
Read at 5 to 20 minutes, once the background is clear; never after 30 minutes.
C only is negative; C and T is positive for Treponema pallidum antibodies; no C line means the test is invalid.
