The Typhoid IgG/IgM Card is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the simultaneous detection and differentiation of IgG and IgM antibodies to Salmonella typhi in human serum or plasma, as a screening test and an aid in diagnosis. Recombinant S. typhi H and O antigens on colloidal gold feed separate M and G test lines, and reactive samples must be confirmed by another method. Manufactured at Reckon’s Vadodara facility under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, and released against reference standards before dispatch.

Procedure at a glance5 steps

Bring the specimen and test components to room temperature, and mix thawed specimens well.
Open the pouch at the notch and lay the device on a clean, flat surface.
Add 1 drop (25 µl) of serum or plasma to the sample well without air bubbles, then 2 drops (60 µl) of assay buffer straight away.
Read within 20 minutes; positives can show within 1 minute.
C only is negative; C and M is IgM positive; C and G is IgG positive; C, M and G is positive for both; no C line means the test is invalid.
