Sodium-L (Single Liquid) is a reagent kit for the quantitative estimation of sodium in human serum, using Phosphonazo III. Sodium reacts with a selective chromogen and the change in absorbance at 630 nm is proportional to sodium; the reaction is inverse, so the blank reads higher than the standard and the test. Manufactured at Reckon’s Vadodara facility under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, and released against reference standards before dispatch.

Procedure at a glance4 steps

Pipette 1.0 ml of reagent into the blank, standard and test tubes; add 0.01 ml of standard and of serum to their tubes.
Mix and incubate for 5 minutes at room temperature (25 to 30 °C).
Read the standard and the sample against the reagent blank at 630 nm.
Sodium (mmol/L) = (blank − test) ÷ (blank − standard) × 150.
