RF Latex is a rapid latex agglutination slide test for the qualitative and semi-quantitative determination of rheumatoid factors (RFs) in undiluted serum. Latex particles coated with purified human globulin (IgG) agglutinate visibly when rheumatoid factors are present. Manufactured at Reckon’s Vadodara facility under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, and released against reference standards before dispatch.

Procedure at a glance5 steps
- Bring the reagent and samples to room temperature, and mix the latex reagent well.
- Place about 25 µl of each sample or control in the centre of its circle on the slide.
- Add an equal drop of latex reagent, holding the dropper vertical, and spread it with a separate mixing stick.
- Rock the slide gently for 2 minutes, or use a rotator at 100 rpm.
- Agglutination means RF above 8 IU/ml. For a titre, repeat with the sample diluted 1:2 to 1:32 in 0.9% saline.
