ASO Latex is a rapid latex agglutination slide test for the qualitative and semi-quantitative determination of anti-streptolysin O (ASO) in serum, in post-streptococcal disease. Latex particles coated with streptolysin O agglutinate when ASO is present; no agglutination is a negative result. Manufactured at Reckon’s Vadodara facility under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, and released against reference standards before dispatch.

Procedure at a glance5 steps
- Place about 25 µl of sample or control in a circle on the slide, with a separate dropper.
- Add 1 drop (25 µl) of latex reagent to each circle.
- Mix and spread the mixture over the whole circle.
- Rock the slide gently for 1 to 2 minutes, or use a rotator at 100 rpm, and look for agglutination.
- Agglutination within 2 minutes is positive. For a titre, repeat with the sample diluted 1:2 to 1:32 in normal saline.
