Product details.
RF Turbilatex is a quantitative latex turbidimetric test for rheumatoid factors (RF) in human serum or plasma. Latex particles coated with human gammaglobulin agglutinate with the RF in the sample, and the change in absorbance is read against a multi-point or single-point calibration. Manufactured at Reckon’s Vadodara facility under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, and released against reference standards before dispatch.
The specifications and steps on this page are from the datasheet, last updated 06-2023. The datasheet governs: read it before use, or ask us.

Procedure at a glance5 steps
- Mix 0.9 ml of diluent (R1) with 0.1 ml of latex (R2) as the working reagent.
- Prepare the 6 calibrator dilutions in 9 g/L NaCl for a multi-point curve, or mix 30 µl of calibrator with 70 µl of NaCl for a single point (45 IU/ml).
- Add 7 µl of calibrator or sample to 1.0 ml of working reagent (blank: 7 µl of NaCl) and mix.
- Read the blank (A1) and the sample or calibrator (A2) at 650 nm after 2 minutes.
- Read RF off the calibration curve of (A2 − A1), or RF (IU/ml) = (A2 − A1) of sample ÷ (A2 − A1) of calibrator × diluted calibrator concentration.
